NARRE WARREN HOUSE & STABLES

New House & Stables _ Narre Warren East VIC. Australia _ Design Completed 2012

This new house on a large rural property is conceived of as a series of pavilions scattered across the landscape.  The journey through the house is activated by a circulation spine which links the living pavilions and moderates the relationship to the site.  Walls open up to courtyard spaces, reading nooks and light courts, and internal spaces have a feeling of prospect and connection to the landscape and topography of the site.  The natural landscape permeates the interior of the home, blurring the distinction between inside and out.
