An existing Federation style-house in Melbourne's eastern suburbs was to be reconfigured and extended in order to accommodate an expanding family.

New living spaces and a generous kitchen, defined by landscaped retaining walls, were nestled within the garden of this sloping site.  The landscape was to further permeate the interior of the home, liberating the previously introverted house.  The detailing of the existing verandah was echoed in the new internal breezeway/gallery space, whilst the geometries of the existing house were referenced in the new work.
